Tap In announces integration with GroundWork

By Peter Loh, April 15, 2009

Today Tap In Systems announces the availability of it's integration package with GroundWork Monitor.  The full text of this joint announcement is here.  This offering allows GroundWork users to use our Cloud Management Service to monitor the Amazon EC2 cloud, and integrate that management information into an existing GroundWork Monitor system.  Alerts from the EC2 cloud can be consolidated on to GroundWork so operators can use a common interface, and a single notification systems can be used.   This approach leverages your investment in existing tools by extending their reach into the cloud.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with GroundWork, they have packaged the best-of-breed open source management tools, such as Nagios, Cacti, RRDTool and others, into an easy to deploy package.  If you are considering using these tools (especially Nagios) for monitoring on-premise systems, it's worth your time to try GroundWork. Their package will reduce your installation and configuration time significantly.

We are holding a webcast on the details of this package on April 21, at 9:00 AM, Pacific Time.  You can register at this URL: http://www.groundworkopensource.com/resources/webcasts/cloud-manangement.html
