GoGrid Partnership

Tap In Systems has announced a partnership with cloud infrastructure provider GoGrid. This is part of our ongoing strategy to provide cloud services to a wide variety of cloud service providers. So what does this mean?
- We will be able to manage GoGrid Linux and Windows instances with our Cloud Management Service. This capability includes dynamically gathering GoGrid configuration meta-data (GoGrid server, image, OS, RAM and state descriptions) along with in-depth systems metrics. We can do this today from the CMS service which is hosted in Amazon's cloud.
- Later this year when GoGrid releases it's GoGrid Server Images capability (MyGSI), we will offer an option to run the Cloud Management Service under GoGrid's cloud.
With the current CMS capability, both Amazon and GoGrid instances can be managed from a single CMS console. The interesting possibility that this capability raises in the near future is the ability to back up Amazon with GoGrid, or visa-versa, and have both cloud services managed with a common tool. We are also working toward the capability of this backup service having high availability features such as automatic failover that is seamless to the users.
