Cloud Management Service for Amazon EC2 with CloudWatch support

We are proud to announce a new offering from Tap In Systems. For a limited time, we are offering a free monitoring service for Amazon EC2 instances. This service will enable you to monitor your Ec2 instances within minutes. The details of this new offering is described here.

This service is groundbreaking for us in the following ways.

It is easy to implement. Our intent with this service is to enable you to start monitoring after entering only a few pieces of information - your credentials, your monitoring data options and your notification options. We take advantage of the new Amazon CloudWatch features so we can easily pull metric data for your instances from the Amazon API. We give you the ability to alert, notify and report on these metrics.
This is a shared service. Our previous service deployed a dedicated management instance for each customer. We realized that this was not desireable for many EC2 users. They didn't need the functions or scalable capabilites of a dedicated service, and the configuration overhead and cost was prohibative for the size of their cloud environment. This shared service allows us to use a single management instance to support multiple users.
It's free. We are not charging for this service during this beta period, however there are limitations. We only allow monitoring of up to 10 EC2 instances. Our intention is to allow customers to explore how Tap In's service can be applied in their environment without charges.
Yet it contains most of the functions of our dedicated management service. After you implement the basic CloudWatch monitoring, you can upgrade your functionality in the following ways:

You can use our QuickView console application to see dynamic event updates.

You can expand your monitoring using Tap In agents for Windows or Linux environments. This gives you access to metrics beyond what is available with CloudWatch.

You can use your own scripts for monitoring custom applications or services.

If your cloud application grows and you need a more scalable or functional monitoring system, you can graduate to our dedicated, fee-based management service.
